Master Competitor Virginia Head presents Demi Bogg with the Cadet Swim Cup for being the first Avalon Beach SLSC Cadet across the line in our annual Avalon Beach Surf Swim held on January 13th, 2008. The cup is a perpetual trophy kindly donated by Virginia a keen swimmer who came third in her age Division. Pictured with Demi are fellow competitors Nicola Greenwood and Annie Shepherd.

 

20 Beaches Ocean Series Race. Congratulations to board paddler Chris McGuckin who came 4th in the open board paddle and 1st in his age group in this marathon 25 kilometre race. Also well done to Lachlan Arnold, Ross Bidencope, John Dick and Brett Greenwood who tackled the course on skis.
This race was the last in the Oceanseries for this season. Avalon Beach SLSC will once again host the Lion Island Challenge as part of the series next year in October.
