SUBJECT: DEFIBRILLATION COURSE 4th August, 2008

The following SLS SNB Defibrillation Course is scheduled for the 4th August, 2008. Courses run by SLS SNB will be either Nationally Recognised Qualifications or a SLSA Award. This Defib course is a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

COURSE PURPOSE
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and application using advanced life support techniques with a semi-automatic external defibrillator.
PREREQUISITES
Minimum of 15 years of age on the date of assessment
PUAEM001A Provide Emergency Care OR
SLSA Bronze Medallion/Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) OR
SLSA Senior First Aid Certificate (CPR component must have been updated within last 12 months)

Attached are details for the Spinal Management course being held on 21st July, and the Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management course being held on 6th and 7th August. (July Beach Management course is fully booked). Bookings for these courses can be made through the Branch Office.
 
There is a further Beach Management course scheduled for 23rd and 25th September.
