The Avalon Beach SLSC IRB racing Team is in full swing of its winter premiership,

and there is now a page on this site dedicated to it! click on the 'IRB Competition' page to

view our journal and photos of our competition triumphs!

 latest Sydney Northern Beaches Branch news, and ' IRB Competition' page, with the latest carnival reports from our

Open to any members with ideas and suggestions on how our club should be run from Nippers through to Seniors.

You may just want to join us for part of the meeting or the whole session.
We will require an rsvp for catering purposes and an agenda will be sent out prior to the meeting.

The 2008 NSW IRB Premiership dates have been confirmed!

The Avalon Beach SLSC IRB Competition Team will be competing at the following rounds:

 

Round 1 & 2 (3rd & 4th May) – Manly

Round 3 & 4 (24th & 25th May) – Terrigal

Round 5 & 6 (14th & 15th June) – Blackhead

State Championships (12th & 13th July) – Towradgi

Australian IRB Championships are being held at Shellharbour from the 20th June - 22nd June.

05/04/08- Former ABSLSC Club member and

NSW Lifeguard of the year for 2008 - Mark Young, has Just

been announced as Australian Lifeguard of the year at a Gala Dinner held in

Perth for Aussies 2008! Well done Mark!!!

 

 

Just your everyday shot of an Avalon Beach Lifesaver doing their annual rescue board proficiency test....... NOT!!

One of our most skilled, experienced, .... and CRAZIEST!! club members Damo Geyle, stunned all who watched as he

caught this massive wave during the stormy seas on the weekend of the 5th january. Note that he is riding a standard

surf rescue board STANDING UP!!

Ask him how big it was, it seems to double everytime he talks about it :)
